And what happens if you want to keep your options open and look at the same time for potential employers, clients and business partners? Do you need to use different tools?
Thanks to digital technology, the response is no:: with a proper ePortfolio tool, it is easy to create multiple views of the same Career ePortfolio, selecting different elements of a common repository to create just the right view for the right audience. And if you already have created a learning ePortfolio during your initial education, many of the elements you collected at that time could be integrated in your Career ePortfolio.
While some information might be common to the four views above, it is very likely that they will look totally different from each other: in order to provide employers with an easily recognisable view, you might want to use, more or less, the structure of a traditional CV, while for finding clients, the look might be more 'commercial', similar to an advertisement. Of course the contents and layout is also dependent on the domain in which you plan to find a job —seeking to be a civil servant will probably lead to a different layout than applying as a Punk-Rock DJ!
