ABSTRACTIn the area of tension of the social demands in the worlds of employment, identity and education adolescent learners in the final phase of their compulsory education – at the age of about 15 years – should be adequately supported at this passage into the job finding process and the job integration process. As a supportive measure the e-portfolioconcept should be integrated into the above areas of tension. After a comprehensive analysis of the social frame conditions and tendencies, that can be assigned and reasoned to the phenomenon of dissolution it is tried to verify the typical aspect, also interpretable as requirement profile, for accordance. In this respect the concept of competence in its basic structure turns out to be a suitable connecting element between these areas of tension as an argument of using the e-portfolio in teaching in that context. A large-scale policy experimentation will evaluate the assessment of transversal skills in schools in 10 european countries. The hypothesis of the Erasmus+ Project ATS2020 (Assessment of Transversal Skills): Assessment can support the development of 21st century skills, such as digital competency, self-regulated learning or cooperation. A meeting of the project partners in Krems, Austria, showed the state of the art of the project. Danube University Krems was also the venue of a trainers' workshop for the piloting countries.On November 11 and 12, 2015 ATS2020 project partners met in order to discuss further steps for the large-scale experimentation of „Assessment of Transversal Skills“. The contextThe development of work on Open Badges, alongside e-portfolios, has been a strong feature if the Europortfolio Project, see the work on the Matrurity Matrix at for example.  But just how far on are with implementation?  The recent extension of a UK survey on Open Badge implementation gave us the opportunity to find out.Five-six colleagues from twenty-four countries represented within the Europortfolio community responded to this first survey, which gathered information on the implementation of Open Badges across Europe and beyond.   Three quarters of respondents were from Higher Education.  The detailed results will be available shortly, here we provide some headline conclusions: Our initial conclusions:There was a high level of awareness of Open Badges amongst respondents.Only a third of our respondents reported holding held senior management roles, suggesting that much activity is still led by practitioners.  The vast majority of respondents were either academic staff or e-learning technologists,...
Activating teaching and active learning is the guiding principle of education at SDU. This conference is to inspire and disseminate knowledge and experience on how student learning is promoted in accordance with the fundamental principles of SDU.The target audience is primarily teachers from the University of Southern Denmark and University Colleges in Southern Denmark. EUROPORTFOLIO, the network of European ePortfolio experts and practitioners, was present with a workshop at the EADTU conference in Hagen, Germany on October 30, 2015 (9 a.m.-11 a.m.). This workshop, entitled “Bridging the Gaps and Joining the Dots”, focused on EUROPORTFOLIO’s ePortfolio & Open Badges Maturity Framework and OERs and MOOCs on ePortfolios.  However, there is a range of further achievements within the EUROPORTFOLIO project, such as a Competency Framework which is an important driver for the use of ePortfolios for the recognition of prior learning as well as for assessment and accreditation of competencies at schools, universities, or at the workplace. EUROPORTFOLIO also provides its network with ePortfolio Implementation Guidelines for different stakeholders.  ePortfolio experts and practitioners who are networking within EUROPORTFOLIO do benefit from various opportunities.
