Rob Ward is the Director of the Centre for Recording Achievement (CRA), a not for profit company limited by guarantee, registered charity and international community of practice based in the UK. CRA provides UK leadership on the Europortfolio initiative, has played a co-ordinating role within the Inter/national Coalition for ePortfolio research, and Rob is a Board Member of the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence informed Learning (AAEEBL) based in the US.
Following Directorship of the Lifelong Learning Support Project Rob led on the e-portfolio scoping reports for the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) in 2005. Subsequently he directed a JISC Project looking at the use of e-portfolios in e-assessment, and with Janet Strivens, a project on the role of e-portfolios in securing employer engagement in higher level learning. He was a ‘critical friend’ to the national project on e-portfolios in Australian Higher Education and provided a keynote contribution to the first Australian e-portfolio symposium (Brisbane, 2008). Subsequently he acted as a ‘critical friend’ to the ‘Developing a Systematic, Cross-Faculty Approach to Teaching and Assessing Reflection in Higher Education’ (DRAW) project in Australia, and co-ordinates the CRA contribution to the current Australian Project ‘Curate, credential and carry forward digital learning evidence’.
